Keith Greeninger is an Americana, Folk, R&B/Soul, Songwriter artist from Santa Cruz. His authenticity brings a special bond to his music and his audience. His philosophy is that music is first and foremost a gift and a medicine to take part in together.

Recorded using Blue Coast’s signature Extended Sound Environment technique, this blues inspired special event feels as though you are sitting in the room with singer-songwriter Keith Greeninger. Blue Coast Special Event 15 defines what acoustic music should sound and feel like. Honest and melancholy, Keith Greeninger opens up his heart on this stunning Special Event.

Close to the Soul is a stellar live studio session featuring Keith Greeninger, Chris Kee, and Brain. Based in San Francisco, this performance was originally a private concert for NPR radio to demonstrate HD and DSD audio. Keith’s voice is reminiscent of Van Morrison, but more resonant, heartier, raspier, capable of a big, full sound as well as a soft, tender sound. Combined with Chris Kee on bass and Brain on drums, you have the perfect folk trio.

Special Event 20 was the first time Blue Coast Records recorded to Double DSD. Cookie Marenco and her team journeyed to a recording hideaway deep in the Santa Cruz mountains with a minimized version of gear usually used in the studio. They were limited to 2 mics, 2 Millennia Pre amps, their proprietary cable and 2 channels of Double DSD (Korg m2-2000s). DSD is amazing, especially when you have a great DAC.

Qua Continuum explores unique moods of hour long pieces created for meditation, concentration, sleep or relaxation. This band consists of Brain (Bryan) Mantia and Cookie Marenco. Qua Continuum describes the music as being a progression of elements varying by very minute degrees that never repeats over the hour of listening. This is slow motion sonic exploration mixed live while performing in the studio.
